When you cast your line out, searching, waiting for the fish to take bite of the bait or lure you have placed at the end, you are going to want to make sure you can get it back when they do bite. And to do that, you essentially ‘wheel’ it in, by reeling it in. Now, why is this seemingly common sense thing so important? Well, if you got the wrong reel, there will be no wheeling and no reeling. Just as it is important to find the right saltwater fishing rod, it is equally important to find the right fishing reel saltwater.
Neither a wheel nor a reel can turn if it has too much weight on it, if it is bigger than the job requires, or just doesn’t fit you will likely end up frustrated.
